Two Years Of Gabbar Singh!

Gabbar Singh is a Telugu action film produced by Bandla Ganesh under the Parameswara Art Productions and directed by Harish Shankar. The lead actors include Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan. Devi Sri Prasad who previously worked with Pawan Kalyan for Jalsa has composed the soundtrack for the film. The film is an adaptation of the 2010 Hindi film Dabangg.  

The film was released worldwide on 11 May 2012. The film was released worldwide in around 2500 theaters. The film set a box office record for the Telugu Film Industry by collecting a gross of more than 1.5 billion. The film was dubbed into Hindi as Policewala Gunda.

On its first day the film grossed approximately 18 crores generating a net share of approximately 13 crores. The film has collected a record net share of 42.55 crores worldwide with a record first week share of 28 crores from Andhra Pradesh alone. At the end of two weeks the film has collected a record share of 51.85 crores  world wide. The total three weeks share of the film now stands at 58crores. 

The film has grossed more than US$1 million at the United States box office.According to Business Standard website, the film has collected 128.75 crores (US$22 million) gross in three weeks. 

The film has completed 50 days in 307 centres on 29 June 2012. "Gabbar Singh" has also registered another record of running in 250 direct centers. The film has shattered the box office collections records and has created a new history by raking around 630 million share after 50 days run. The film has completed 100 days in 65 centres on 18 August 2012.

The television rights were bagged by Gemini TV for a price of around 6 crores and was telecasted on 14 January 2013 on the occasion of Sankranthi festival.

This movie has been a blockbuster to Power Star Pawan Kalyan after nearly 10 years, and it brought Pawan Kalyan back to the number 1 place in tollywood.
